Proposition:

Kenya Airways opening a Window to Africa.Kenya Airways was seeking to capitalize on the business opportunities available within the lucrative Kenyan tourism market by developing an extensive travel portal that would target both B2B (service providers such as travel agents, hotels etc) as well as B2C (travelers) customers to:

  • Enable travel service providers with a platform to market their services directly to travelers
  • Provide travelers with a means to combine multiple facets to traveling, such as air tickets, travel insurance etc.

Solution:

All of Kenya in a website. With such an ambitious tagline, Icreon delivered to Kenya Airways an internet based end-to-end travel portal – www.goingsafari.com as a extensive yet easy to use - ‘Window to Africa’.

The solution, designed to include 13 services, currently offers hotel booking, flight tickets, car rentals and travel insurance with more to come. In the solution, LDS and GDS system has been integrated to handle all bookings and reservations.  Through this, travelers can browse, book and purchase various travel products online in real-time; and travel agents/service providers offer better or discounted rates for hotels, flights etc
