Since 1835, Winkwoth, a real estate company in UK, has provided complete estate agency services to the landed gentry, across the country. WInkworth wished to develop a multi - lingual and multi-domain web application to effectively manage and market the properties online and offer value added and user-friendly features.
Winkworth wanted a cost effective web based solution to help them overcome the growing discrepancy in the application that they were using to offer niche real estate services in UK.
Solution:
To un-complicate the daunting task of real estate management, Icreon developed a multi-lingual and multi-domain CMS to manage data across multiple offices of Winkworth. The CMS had three interfaces, viz., user, admin and agent, which provides access to different types of users to undertake the activities as described:
- User Interface allows property seekers to create an account and seek information and conduct extensive research on desired properties.
- Admin Interface allows administrators to manage information about users and agents (Winkworth employees), properties on sale/rent; and post blogs on latest trends in real -estate industry and Winkworth.
- Agent Interface allows real estate agents/sellers to review property listings; contact and email interested buyers; create and upload virtual tours of the property and insert property ads.
Some of the features integrated in the solution for the property seekers include:
- Advance search of properties through keywords, unique reference numbers, or through maps - for which a highly advanced Google map has been integrated.
- Virtual tours of properties including information on nearby stations, parking area, amenities, etc.
- Arrange for free evaluation of their property based on the market trends by Winkworth agents.
Results:
The web application helped Winkworth to easily create and manage an extensive database of properties and enabled them to expand their area of operations by reaching out to a broader audience that includes property owners, buyers and agents spread across countries and regions.
