AGU is an international, not-for-profit organization comprised of scientists and their supporters, working together on a spectrum of scientific topics and issues that span the Earth and space sciences. Their research encompasses everything from the exploration of planets, to studies of the structure and chemical composition of the Earth’s deep interior, to understanding the Earth’s atmosphere and oceans, and the dynamics of climate change.
AGU is dedicated to advancing Earth and space science through the individual and collective efforts of members, volunteer leaders and staff, and in cooperation with other national and international scientific organizations and others who share a commitment to the AGU mission, vision and values.
These aspirations are realized with the objectives that digital transformation will meet. These objectives are to develop a foundation of data, content, tools and practices that are designed to grow and adapt over time. By integrating AGU’s data and content, implementing common technologies and methods, and developing innovative products that provide personalized, high-quality experiences, the outcomes of the transformation process will better meet the needs of AGU users for actionable information in their field, enable new discoveries about trends in our sciences, foster experimentation, and become an increasingly valuable resource to the worldwide Earth and space science community.
